This simple but impressive building is made with blocks for the first two storeys and then an intriguing third storey come roof structure for the gallery on which the organ stands. The roof is supported from the top of a central column by glue laminate beams of fine German pine, one beam passes through the organ structure over the organists head. The case is of elm to match other furnishings in the building. At the rear of the instrument the Subbass 16 bass octaves hang, seemingly unsupported, in the entrance lobby. The console is placed centrally with the action angled to the left for the Swell and to the right for the Great. The compact but wide ranging specification allows a very wide spectrum of music to be performed in this ingenius small building.
