The organ case is built from solid English oak and includes rich mouldings and applied decoration designed by Nicholas Plumley, carved by Derek Riley. The stop list of the organ has been conceived to embrace the vast organ repertoire as well as possible within it. Quite a challenge even to the most innovative organ builder given a musical timescale of some 500 years! The stop action is electromagnetic and has a sophisticated memory system incorporating a simple sequencer to allow the player easy movement through the general pistons on all memory levels. |
