BoWood Chapel Organ

As rationalisation and re-ordering takes place, some instruments become available for re-housing. This activity forms part of our workload today.

The instrument was standing in the redundant church of St. Paul's Dock Street, London remarkably it fitted and suited St. Philip's. The core of the instrument is an 1848 Gray & Davidson two manual, which had been expanded to three manuals by Hele & Co in 1900.

Our work was to thoroughly restore and conserve the instrument and re-construct the case to suite the new site. All work, including re-stencilling the front pipes was carried out by our own in-house skilled craftsmen. Consultant to the project was Stephen Bicknell.
